PLANS are in place to chose the next village queen for Endon.

In order to be eligible candidates must have been born between May 1, 2003 and May 31, 2006; and live within the parish of Endon and Stanley.

The winner will replace last year's Queen, Rebekah Bridgett. Application forms are available from St Luke's and Endon Hall Primary Schools or from the committee secretary Mrs L Bagguley by calling 01782 504266.

The Well Dressing Committee will be meeting at St Luke's Primary School in Leek Road, Endon on Monday, February 4 at 7.15pm to chose this year's festival queen. This year's Endon Well Dressing festival will be held over the bank holiday weekend of May 24 to May 26 and promises to have a full programme of events.
