BUSINESSES in a Victorian shopping arcade are teaming up to give one couple a special Valentine's Day treat next month.
Molly's Maison, in Getliffe's Yard, Leek, is working together with neighbouring businesses to offer one couple an intimate meal this coming Feast of Saint Valentine.
Bridgett Edge and her partner John Edwards, who run Molly's Masion, a furniture shop with tearooms, wants to give something back after being in business in the yard off Derby Street for just over a year.
John said: "Everyone has been so supportive and helpful to us since we opened up our business in Leek. We want to give something back by offering something positive among the doom and gloom of the winter months.
"Everyone in the yard is getting involved in providing this treat, either by helping to decorate Molly's Maison and the rest of the yard, providing a bottle of champagne, or by providing the meal for the couple."
The chosen couple will be treated to a meal on the evening of Friday, February 14, cooked at the neighbouring Getliffe's Restaurant, and served in Molly's Maison, which will only be open exclusively for the romantic couple.
John said: "We are hoping to get a solo musician, such as a violinist, to welcome the couple in.
"Prior to this we will also provide transport for the couple to get to Getliffe's Yard. They will be able to choose a meal from the Getliffe's Restaurant Valentine's Day menu."
to be in with a chance of being chosen for the special Valentine's treat in Getliffe's Yard, couples need to be nominated by family or friends, or one half of the couple can nominate themselves.
Anyone wishing to nominate a couple for this Valentine's treat can do so by emailing a picture of the couple and their contact details, along with reasons why they think they should be chosen for the romantic treat. Entries should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or posted to the address on Page 2.
The closing date is Friday, February 7 at 5pm.
