AN EXHIBITION of fine ceramic creations is on display at a town's art centre.
The Northern Potters Association is exhibiting in Leek for the first time collectively.
'A Ceramic Exhibition' is running in the first floor gallery of The Foxlowe Arts Centre, in Leek's Market Place, until Saturday, March 1.
The array of creations showcases talent from across the region, and members of the association were on hand to talk about their work at the exhibition launch on Friday evening.
Hazel Higham, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been a member of the Northern Potters for 15 years. She said: "I produce terracotta pieces which have a tin glaze before being hand painted with oxide and ceramic colours."
Hazel said of the gallery where her work is currently on display: "It's a lovely venue.
"It is beautifully lit and there is a lovely atmosphere.
"I have organised this exhibition and everyone at the Foxlowe has been just brilliant and really helpful."
Fellow Association member, Gillian McMillan, from Barlaston, produces ceramic pieces which she paints with copper carbonate and metallic lustre.
She said: "I think it is lovely here. I have visited before but not exhibited here before."
Opening hours for the Foxlowe Art Gallery, which is free admission, are 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday and Sunday 11am – 4pm.
