A RESIDENT in the Staffordshire Moorlands has been celebrating reaching the grand age of 102.
Olive Davies, who lives at Wetley Manor Care Home in Cellarhead, turned 102 last Wednesday, January 15.
Olive's daughter Sian Anderson, along with husband Derek, visited the home to help Olive celebrate her birthday.
Mum-of-two Olive has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Olive also had 'Facetime' video calls with other family members from across the world, including some of her grand-children who live in California.
As for turning 102, Olive said: "It's not so bad."
Born and raised in Coventry, Olive became a librarian after leaving school and before getting married.
She lived in North Wales until three years ago when she moved to the Staffordshire Moorlands to live closer to her daughter, who lives in Draycott.
Olive said of living at Wetley Manor Care Home: "I like it here. It's very nice. Everything is taken care of. We get excellent care."
Olive had two birthday cakes and was given lots of lovely gifts including flowers and chocolates.
