ARE you an aspiring musician or the next big film maker? Then Staffordshire Moorlands MP Karen Bradley needs you.
Mrs Bradley is calling for musicians and film makers to enter Parliament's two largest competitions, Rock the House and Film the House.
Founded by Intellectual Property Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mike Weatherley MP, the competitions are sponsored by industry and supported by celebrity Patrons.
Karen said: "These competitions are rapidly making a name as two of the hottest events in the calendar and it's easy to see why.
"I want to do everything I can to encourage musicians and film-makers from the Moorlands to enter in 2014 because the prizes really are something else. You can win studio time and vouchers for top-of-the-range equipment – but also experiences that money just cannot buy, like the opportunity to play at Download festival or have your film premiered in London's West End.
"On top of all that, you get to have your work judged by the leading lights of the music and film industries and the chance to go celebrity spotting at the star-studded closing party, so if you are in a band or aspire to directing Hollywood epics, this is your chance to shine."
Rock legend and actor, Alice Cooper, said: "Rock the House is a great project which celebrates the fantastic diversity of the British music scene and gives musicians a vehicle through which to hold their legislators accountable about protecting the music industry's intellectual property."
