TWO local charities are teaming up to host a fund-raising extravaganza this year.
Jo's Dreams and Love4Leah will be hosting the event in Leek on June 28 and is set to include many activities for all the family.
Denise Horobin set up Jo's Dreams after her sister, Joanne, lost her fight with kidney failure in 2011 at the age of 48.
Jo's Dreams provides dreams for people suffering from kidney failure ranging from televisions to holidays.
Love4Leah was set up by Leah Powell and her family before the teenager lost her battle with cancer last year. Her mum Jane is continuing the fund-raising efforts in her daughter's memory and is hoping to raise enough money to set up a retreat in the Staffordshire Moorlands for young cancer patients and their families.
Denise said: "We are doing a joint event on June 28 to raise money for both charities.
"We are aiming to host a family fun day with loads of different stalls and things for families to do.
"Plus in the evening we are going to get a few bands together.
"However, we need so much help to put on this event and are appealing for anyone who can help with bands, raffle prizes, auction prizes, children's entertainment, stalls, and also hope to get in touch with any famous people who may be able to attend the event."
