A SERIES of fund-raising events have been planned for 2014 to raise cash for patients at a hospital.
The Leek Moorlands Hospital League of Friends have two fashions shows and two coffee mornings planned for this year.
The object of the Leek Moorlands Hospital League of Friends is to "provide funds for supplementing the resources of the hospital services, or to put such funds at the disposal of the Health Authority to be applied in supplementing these resources, and to encourage the interest of the public in the patients in the hospital in the area".
A spokesman for the Friends group said: "Each year brings higher costs, which means we need to raise even more money to provide that extra care for patients. We welcome any help to make our task that much easier - by donations, subscriptions or new members."
The first of the Fashion Shows set to be hosted by the Leek Moorlands Hospital League of Friends will be held on Friday, February 28, at St Paul's Church Centre in Novi Lane, Leek, with the second catwalk event on Friday, October 24, at the same venue.
The shows will be led by SD Fashion Show Company from Nottingham and all items in the show will be for sale.
Tickets are £5 for each show.
The Friends' coffee mornings, which will be held at Trinity Church in Derby Street, Leek, will take place on Saturday, April 5, and Saturday, November 1, both running from 9am until 1pm.
