Hedgelaying course on offer at farm in Swinscoe

THE Churnet Valley Living Landscape Partnership will be running a hedge-laying course over two days where participants will be able to learn the traditional skill of hedge-laying in the Derbyshire style.

The courses on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, at Ellishill Farm Swinscoe near Ashbourne will start at 9.30am on each day and finish at around 3.30pm.

The cost is £30 per person per course and is payable in advance. Volunteers working for charities and the unemployed will be able to take part for free.

Wear suitable outdoor clothes, waterproofs and boots preferably with a steel toe cap also bring a packed lunch/drinks.
