TIS' the season to be jolly and where better to get in the spirit than right at home in Staffordshire.

The county is doing all it can to get families in the festive spirit and children eagerly awaiting the return of Santa Claus.

From Christmas carnivals and merry markets to festive thrills and feasts, there is something for every taste and budget and one thing is guaranteed, Staffordshire will put a smile on your face and a sparkle into your Christmas this year.

For those seeking festive thrills, Drayton Manor Theme Park is set to become one of the most magical Christmas days out in the Midlands with the promise of snow at least three times a day. Drayton's Magical Christmas runs until Sunday, January 5, when guests can enjoy all the usual thrills and spills with added festive features. Children will love Thomas Land where the engines will be preparing for Christmas and in the Castle of Dreams, Santa Claus will be waiting with a free gift for every child.

Each evening fireworks will fill the sky to end every magical day with a spectacular bang.

Once again this year, The Trentham Estate will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The merry season at the estate includes the venue's annual Winter Lakeside Ice Rink which will be open until February.
