A NEW service for the elderly has opened its doors in Leek.

Daybreak Day Opportunities offers building based day care for older people in the town and Biddulph. The service offers support for both physical and mental wellbeing, and has sessions on Fridays at Pickwood Close, Leek; Mondays at St Luke's Church in Fountain Street, Leek; and Tuesdays and Wednesdays at The Victoria Centre, Biddulph. The sessions offer a range of activities, a two course lunch and refreshments throughout the day, and qualified and trained staff with many years experience.

The Pickwood Close base for Daybreak hosted an open day on Friday between 10am and 3pm.

For further information about the service, call Fiona Fowler on 07981 856972 or email fowlerfiona@rocketmail.com.
