Traffic came to a standstill after three vehicle crash

TRAFFIC came to a standstill in a town centre after a three-vehicle crash.

The incident occurred on the Leek Road in Cheadle, near to Prince George Street, yesterday, Tuesday, morning.

Police have confirmed that the road was fully blocked for a time while the three vehicles were cleared from the highway.

A Police spokeswoman said: "We had a call at 7.45am yesterday about an incident on Leek Road in Cheadle.

"There was three vehicles involved. No one sustained injuries.

"There was a white Citroen Berlingo van, a black Fiat Punto, and a black BMW.

"The road was blocked initially but was reopened by 7.57am. There has been some damage caused to railings along the road."
