Centre Stage Theatre Company will be presenting 'My Boy Jack' by David Haig in November

AN AMATEUR dramatic society is inviting people along to the reading for its next production.

Centre Stage Theatre Company will be presenting 'My Boy Jack' by David Haig in November this year at Westwood First School, Leek.

The play concerns the experience of Rudyard Kipling's family in the First World War.

Centre Stage will be having a reading of the whole play on Tuesday, May 6 at 7.30pm at the director Judy Herbert's house in Leek.

This will be followed by a casting session on Monday, June 2m at 8.30pm at Westwood First School, immediately following the theatre company's Annual General Meeting. Mrs Herbert said: "At this session, those interested in particular parts will be asked to read short extracts in character. Actors would be expected to start learning their parts from July with full rehearsals starting in September. Interested newcomers are welcome."
