VILLAGE schoolchildren are getting computer-wise thanks to a donation.

Blackshaw Moor First School has recently been able to purchase a number of laptop computers thanks to the fund-raising efforts of a sports club.

Stuart Day, parent of Joe and Jake, who are pupils at the school, is a member of the Staffordshire Moorlands Motorcycle Trails Club, which recently held its annual Bluestones Cup charity trail.

The event raised funds for the Rossendale Trust and for Blackshaw Moor School.
