A businessman will be washing wheelie bins in return for charity donations this weekend.

Ben Schoop, owner of Wash A Wheelie, will be on hand to clean wheelie bins to raise money for the Stroke Club at the grand opening of the Haregate Community Centre on Saturday, July 5.

Ben, who already cleans the community centre bins free of charge, has decided to raise cash for The Stroke Club, because a number of his customers are supporters of the cause.

Ben, whose business covers the Staffordshire Moorlands and Stoke-on-Trent areas, will be washing wheelie bins at the centre from midday until 3pm.

Ben said: "My customers are very special to me. They are loyal and supportive. I only spend a short time at each customer's house, but over a number of weeks and many five minute chats later you learn so much about people.

"A number of my customers are big supporters of the Stroke Club at Haregate Community Centre."
