A community leader has helped a business launch a new brochure which is set to guide people around Leek.
Westwood Post Office has produced a brochure which contains a map of the town, courtesy of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
The launch of the new Westwood Post Office brochure coincided with the 12th anniversary of postmasters Chris and Mike Birch running an outlet, as well as it being the 120th year of there being a post office in the West End of Leek.
Council leader councillor Sybil Ralphs visited the post office to help launch the brochure.
She told the Post & Times: "Westwood Post Office is a prime example of what a community post office should be.
"Chris and Mike go out of their way to provide a friendly professional service, which is very much appreciated by all their customers.
"People have told me that you are made to feel really welcome when you go there, and that you are treated like a friend rather than a customer.
"So I was delighted to launch the brochure for them. This is yet another useful service that Chris and Mike are providing, one of a continuous number that they have developed over the past year.
"They, and their delightful and interesting shop, are an asset to Leek, and I wish them many more years of successful trading. "
The launch also included post office staff offering customers a variety of 'soft' cocktails and giving out information of the travel products on offer at Westwood Post Office.
Postmistress Chris added: "We wanted a new leaflet and quite a lot of people often come into us asking where a certain venue or street is, so we came up with the idea of including a map of Leek."
