An operatic society has donated cash to a charity shop which came to its aid.

The All Saints' Operatic Society has donated £50 to the Scope Charity Shop in Derby Street, Leek.

The cash was raised through raffles which were carried out during the society's Saturday matinee performance of 'Oh What A Lovely War' at St Edward's Academy in Leek. The donation was made after the Scope Charity Shop staff made window space available for the society to publicise the production.

Representatives of All Saints' Operatic Society, Ian Wilson and Alec Pointon, visited the Derby Street charity to present shop manager Ann Lee with the £50 cheque.
