Small businesses, included those in the Staffordshire Moorlands, are being urged to take advantage of up to £2,000 of funding to help them make the most of digital technology.
The Government funded Growth Voucher programme offers match funding of up to £2,000 to help pay for advice and is focused on small firms accessing professional help for the first time.
Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce is delivering the national programme, which started in January, and is currently helping businesses to assess their needs and find a supplier who can support them.
Business coach and growth specialist John Capper, from Leek, is an advocate of the scheme. He said: "The Growth Voucher programme is a great opportunity for businesses to get the maximum return for their investment.
"I'd advise any firm who wants to make use of digital marketing to register their interest and find out if they're eligible."
Sara Williams, chief executive of Staffordshire Chambers added: "Businesses that seek advice are more likely to grow and we want to help them access the support they need.
"Growth Vouchers offer expert advice under a number of themes, including making the most of digital technology."
Longton-based Digital Eyes Media is one of the latest digital technology suppliers to join the programme as Growth Voucher advisers.
Co-owner Carl Barlow believes that not enough firms are aware of the support available to them.
Carl explained: "It's a missed opportunity at the moment. We talk to a lot of businesses who want to invest in strategic digital marketing but they either don't know where to start or can't afford the cost.
"We got involved in the Growth Vouchers programme to provide advice and help businesses to make the most of digital technology."
Vouchers are available to businesses in England which have been in existence for over one year, have fewer than 50 employees, and have not sought strategic business advice before.
Small businesses can apply for Growth Vouchers through www.gov.uk/apply-growth-vouchers. For more information on Digital Eyes Media and their involvement in the voucher programme, call 01782 450433.
