THE next event for Leek Soul Club is set to help raise cash for the refurbishment of a war memorial.

Veteran soul DJs Stef Callear and Alan Hogkinson (aka Mole) will be spinning the decks with the 'Sounds of the 60s' at The Conservative Club, Mill Street in Leek on Saturday, April 26.

The duo will be aiming to help raise as much money as possible towards the £20,000 cost of refurbishing the Staffordshire Regimental Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum.

The fund-raiser at the club, which is locally known as The Dog & Rot, will start at 8.30pm and run until late.
