A CHOIR will be joined by a ukulele group for a concert in a Staffordshire Moorlands village.

The Werrington Community Volunteers will be presenting an evening with Not Strictly Barbershop, pictured, with Ukulele Interlude on Saturday, March 1. The concert, which will start at 7.30pm, will take place at Werrington Village Hall.

The evening will also include a special display of Werrington Community Volunteers Group's achievements so far including: Werrington in Bloom, Jubilee Garden, Christmas Lights, Village Life Magazine and Website, Safe Parking and Road Safety Campaigns, Edible Garden at the Primary School, and soon to be installed Village Seats. Visitors will also be able to present their own ideas on how to improve the village in the future.

There will be a £50 prize for the best idea, which has been donated by a well-wisher.

Admission will be £3 on the door or advance tickets are available from Just Jeff's Hairdressers in Washerwall, Werrington.
