Soul is set to be put back into a town centre venue.

Leek Soul Club is moving back to the newly-refurbished Old Central - formerly Leek's Central Club.

Regular Leek Soul Club DJs Stef, Soulie and Spanner will, once again, be back behind the decks and playing the best in Northern Soul, Motown, Crossover, with sixties and seventies soul.

"The new owners of The Old Central have spent a lot of money in refurbishing the venue and are very positive in the way they want this venue to be available for different types of music."

Leek Soul Club's revival gig of a 'Northern Soul and Motown Night' at The Old Central will take place on Friday, August 1 from 8.30pm.

Advance tickets, priced at £3, are available from the Old Central. The Silken Strand Hotel in St Edward Street, or Benks pub in Stockwell Street. Alternatively call 01538 387543 or 01538 399632.
