A LEEK artist has teamed up with a quirky coffee shop in her home town to display her latest creations.
Debbie Buxton will be putting her 'Animalia' exhibition in place at Spout Coffee Shop in St Edward Street, Leek this week.
There will be a special preview event tomorrow (Thursday, April 24) evening from 7pm until 9pm.
Inspired by growing up in the countryside and a love for childhood stories and fictional characters Debbie's anthropomorphised animals are brought to life using bold acrylics and high gloss finishes.
After studying at Leek College, Debbie went on to do a fine art degree at Staffordshire University graduating in 2007.
Spout Coffee Shop is situated at No 70 St Edward Street in Leek and there will be a licensed bar provided during the launch of 'Animalia'.
Chris Thompson, who co-ordinates the art displays at Spout Coffee Shop, said of Debbie's work: "Her first range called Icons went really well and we have only got the cures Robert Smith left.
"I asked Debbie a bit ago if she fancied doing animal headed people and she has really got into it and sold a couple all ready."
