MUSIC, cinema, fine art and photography – these are just a few of the treats lined-up for this year's Leek Arts Festival which kicks-off at the end of the month.
National and internationally-known artists will be rubbing shoulders with local performers as a total of more than 40 events are staged in the town.
Top treats in the first half of May include The Situation's Big May Birthday on May 4, folk funnyman Richard Digance on May 6, Mark Radcliffe on May 8, Burbage Brass band on May 9, Leek Choral Society's A Night At The Opera on May 10, Art In The Park on May 10 and 11, and the Silken Burlesque Varietease on May 11.
Festival spokesman Phil Edmeades said: "Most people will have already received a copy of this year's Festival programme, but there are plenty of them around at places like The Foxlowe Arts Centre and Leek's Tourist Information Centre, both in the Market Place.
"We will also be handing out extra copies to passers-by in Leek Market Place on Saturday, April 26, and on Sunday, May 4.
"On both occasions we will also have fantastic Leek Arts Festival balloons to give away to children and anyone else who wants one."
Tickets for many Leek Arts Festival events are available from Leek Tourist Information Centre and The Foxlowe Arts Centre.
People can also go to www.leekartsfestival.org to buy tickets and to get full details of all festival events.
