Daleks invaded a Staffordshire Moorlands tourist spot at the weekend.

Doctor Who's deadliest enemies visited Churnet Valley Railway on Saturday and Sunday, along with a number of other television characters.

Staff and volunteers at the heritage railway invited visitors to "travel through time by earth train to the planet Consall where visitors could meet their favourite Science fiction heroes and villains, including members of the Star Wars Imperial Forces".

The Churnet Valley Railway put on extra trains for the two-day event.
