A COUPLE have taken on their second pub in the market town of Leek.
Debbie and Graham Webster, have already been running The Bird In Hand in Leek's Market Place for a while, and have now taken on the running of The Flying Horse in Ashbourne Road, Leek.
Debbie, aged 49, pictured above, said: "Having recently taken over the management of the Flying Horse, we have employed a number of local people to assist us in the running of the pub.
"We are slowly but surely creating a good name for ourselves with regards to food and beer.
"At present we specialise in steaks and home-baked dishes and our superb Sunday lunches.
"We already have our regulars who join us on a weekly basis to dine."
Debbie added of the offerings of food at The Flying Horse: "All our food is fresh, and where possible sourced locally.
"Graham and I have 30 years of experience in catering and the hospitality trade.
"Outside catering is available as are menus for large groups of people.
"We want to put the Flying Horse back on the map as 'the' place to eat in Leek."
Food is served at the Flying Horse Tuesday to Sunday from midday until 9pm.
There is seating outside in the refurbished beer garden which seats 52.
There are weekly Quiz Nights at The Flying Horse which take place on Sundays from 8.30pm and include cash prizes.
Helping Debbie and Graham run The Flying Horse are staff members: Fran Tomkinson (bar manager), Claire Nixon, Dan Floyd, and Emma Walters, as well as Aimee, Ellie and Sam Lockett.
