A TEENAGER is appealing for financial help to fulfil her dancing dream.

Victoria Mallaburn, pictured, who attends Endon High School, has been offered a place at the Liberatus School of Performing Arts in Swindon.

However, the 16-year-old is appealing for help to pay for the dance-focused education.

Victoria said: "I have been attending dance classes from the age of four and I am passionate about becoming a professional dancer.

"I have been offered a place at Liberatus School of Performing Arts on their three-year Diploma Course.

"I feel very excited about being accepted and desperately want to accept their offer, but need to raise money towards the fees and living costs."

With the support of her dance school, the Angela Beardmore Dance School, which operates in Brown Edge, Victoria is hosting a series of fund-raising events in a bid to raise the £18,000 she needs to carry out the three-year placement.

One of the events is a dance show at St Edward's Academy in Leek, which will be staged on Friday, July 18, at 7pm.

Victoria, who is set to start at Liberatus in September, said: "We have already held a movie night and this show will include a variety of dance displays."

Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and £5 for children and available from the dance school.
