A Stoke-on-Trent man is being sought by Staffordshire Police for assault, failing to appear at court and recall to prison after breaching the terms of his licence.

Michael Goodwin (33) was jailed in August 2011 for 42 months for robbery. He was subsequently released from prison in December 2012 but has since breached his licence conditions.

He was also due to appear before magistrates at Newcastle on Friday 24 January charged with common assault in Hanley on Friday 20 December 2013 but he failed to turn up.

It is believed that Goodwin could be in the Stoke-on-Trent, Cheadle and Stafford areas where he has extensive connections.
