Appeal after phone was stolen from takeaway

OFFICERS from Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team (LPT) have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a mobile phone in Leek.

The incident happened at 9.45pm on Thursday 11 July 11, when a man entered the China Gardens takeaway in Haywood Street. The man ordered some food and while the owner was distracted he lent over the counter and was seen to grab an Apple iPhone 4.

The man then left the shop.

Anyone who has any information, or who knows the man captured on CCTV, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 847 of July 11.

Alternatively they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
